Terms of Service

SponsorLink.au · ABN 86 328 655 832

Last Updated: October 2026. These Terms govern the use of SponsorLink.au across Business Partners, Sporting Clubs, and Community Members.

Section 1

Business Partner Agreement (Suppliers & Merchants)

By registering a business profile on SponsorLink.au, you agree to the following operational commitments:

  • Website Widget & Link Embeds: You agree to embed the official SponsorLink partner widget or reciprocal backlink on your business website to verify active sponsorship for participating clubs.
  • Stripe Subscription & Billing: You authorize SponsorLink to process recurring subscription payments (Community $0, Growth $42/mo, Pro $87/mo) via Stripe Connect direct debit or card authorizations. If a direct debit fails, our payment provider's $2.50 failed-debit fee is passed on at cost on your next bill, plus a $5.00 dishonour admin fee for processing it (Business Subscription Agreement 1.4).
  • Content & Article License: You grant SponsorLink a non-exclusive license to publish your business logo, brand assets, images, and descriptions in club newsletters, SEO articles, and directory listings.
  • Discount Honor Guarantee: You agree to honor all published member discounts, rewards, or special offers upon presentation of a valid SponsorLink digital card or pass.
  • Member-Spend Shares & Refunds: The club's share of each discounted sale (the "member-spend share") is added to your monthly SponsorLink bill and passed on in full to the club, or to the SponsorLink Community Pool for members without a club. SponsorLink collects these shares as agent for the clubs (Business Subscription Agreement 2.3); they are not donations. Returns and refunds to your customers are yours to handle under your own returns policy and the Australian Consumer Law. A later refund does not change a member-spend share already recorded for that sale; contact support if a sale was recorded in error.
Section 2

Sporting Club Partner Agreement

Sporting clubs and community associations joining SponsorLink agree to the following terms:

  • Digital Card Promotion: Clubs agree to actively promote and distribute the digital SponsorLink member discount card to their registered members and supporters.
  • Sponsor Widget Integration: Clubs agree to embed the official Sponsor Widget on their website header, footer, or sponsor directory.
  • Newsletter Content & Features: Clubs agree to include participating Growth and Pro business partners in digital club newsletters and announcements.
  • API & Calendar Integrations: Clubs authorize SponsorLink to connect to public matchday/event calendars to trigger location-relevant member notifications.
Section 3

Member Agreement (Cardholders)

Members utilizing the SponsorLink digital discount pass agree to fair platform usage:

  • Card Presentation: Members must present an active SponsorLink digital pass or card at point of sale to claim merchant discounts.
  • SMS Communication Consent: Members opt-in to receive location-relevant deal alerts via SMS (compliant with Australian Spam Act 2003). Members may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
  • Email Communications: Members consent to receive monthly club sponsor rewards digests and community updates.
  • Member-Spend Shares: Part of each member discount goes to your club (or to the SponsorLink Community Pool if you have no club), using the split shown in your app. This share is not a tax-deductible donation. Returns and refunds of what you buy are handled by the business under its own returns policy and the Australian Consumer Law.
Section 4

Dispute Resolution, Cancellations & Liability

1. Dispute Resolution Protocol

SponsorLink acts strictly as a digital technology platform connecting clubs, businesses, and members. In the event of a dispute between a member and a merchant (e.g. discount redemption issue):

  • Step 1 (Direct Resolution): The parties agree to attempt good-faith direct resolution at the point of sale.
  • Step 2 (Concierge Facilitation): If unresolved within 14 days, either party may escalate to SponsorLink support for concierge review.
  • Step 3 (Limitation): SponsorLink is not a direct party to merchant retail transactions or product delivery.

2. Subscription Cancellations & Refunds

Business subscriptions may be cancelled at any time using Cancel plan in your business portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for: your plan stays active until then and no further charges are made. Amounts already paid for the current period are not refunded, except where a refund is required under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

2A. Subscription Price Changes

We may change our subscription prices. Prices for new subscriptions are shown before you subscribe. For existing subscribers, we will email the registered business email address at least 30 days before a new price takes effect, stating the new price and the effective date. The new price applies from your first renewal on or after that date.

You can say no, without penalty: if you do not wish to accept the new price, you may cancel your subscription at any time before the effective date, using the cancel button in the notice email or Cancel plan in your business portal. There is no penalty or fee for cancelling; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for (section 2 above). Continuing your subscription past the effective date constitutes your agreement to the updated price.

2B. Prices, Billing & Plan Changes

  • Prices: all prices are in Australian dollars (AUD). SponsorLink is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged; the price shown is the price you pay.
  • Billing and renewal: paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically each month until you cancel (section 2).
  • Upgrading (Growth to Pro Network): using Change plan in your business portal, you choose when Pro Network starts. If it starts straight away, the difference for the rest of the current month is added to your next monthly bill; if you choose your next bill, nothing is charged until then and that bill is at the Pro Network price. If you are in free founding months, upgrading straight away ends them and Pro Network is charged from that day; choosing the end of your free months keeps them, and your first charge is at the Pro Network price.
  • Downgrading (Pro Network to Growth): you keep Pro Network until the end of the month you have already paid for, then your plan becomes Growth at the Growth price. The rest of the month is not refunded, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires it.
Australian Consumer Law Guarantee: Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantee, right, or remedy implied by the ACL.

3. No Endorsement & Limitation of Liability

SponsorLink.au is solely a digital directory and technology platform connecting clubs, businesses, and members. The listing of any business, service, or product on SponsorLink.au (including any outreach by listed businesses to partner clubs) does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or approval by SponsorLink.au regarding their products, services, quality, or business practices. We do not endorse any listed businesses or the products they sell (e.g., if a listed web development business contacts your club, we do not endorse them as a partner for their product or business practices).

SponsorLink.au simply offers a platform for businesses to list their business and offer a discount to members if they wish to purchase. SponsorLink.au is not liable or responsible for any engagements, outcomes, transactions, communications, or disputes arising between clubs, members, and listed businesses.

4. Governing Law & Courts

We comply with the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia and of every Australian state and territory. These Terms are governed by Commonwealth law and the law of the state or territory where you live, and nothing in them takes away a right you have under any of those laws. SponsorLink.au is based in Queensland: a dispute we cannot sort out together may be taken to the courts of Queensland, and you can still use the courts, tribunals and consumer protection agencies of your own state or territory.
